     The DVB EIT code does support both long and short descriptors, it
does not support
55 : parental rating
5f : private data
41 : service list
64 : data broadcast descriptor
Non of the above are really crucial, at least not in the UK.

I don't know why it's not working but it's not the lack of short event parsing.
