Are you using a letterbox mode? This doesn't attempt to shrink the fonts
if you are zoomed into a portion of the video. 

The font shrink for letterbox feature should be coming soon..

A letterbox mode then?

What is the aspect ratio of the source video and which "16:9" letterbox
mode did you select exactly.
