Nothing changed, still empty events. Updated backend log appended to 
the ticket. Two starts with only one card.

This seems to work. See the second part of the log (after I changed 
"ISO639Language0" back to 'ger').

Are you sure that the language selection is failing? Would it be 
helpful if I provide a dumped DVB stream?
