I had limited success with 2.4.  Valgrind doesn't crash, but I can't  
actually get to the point where I can play any video.  I get the  
following message from the frontend:

2005-11-02 19:52:21.129 Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times.
2005-11-02 19:52:39.852 Prebuffer wait timed out 10 times.

and then the frontend proceeds to leave playback mode back to the  
menu.  I think the celeron 450 is being killed by valgrind although  
from what I understand, --enable-valgrind is supposed to disable  
those timeouts.
