Hi,
Thanks for responding,
I have almost 3G free on /.

Here is the output of df -h:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hda3 9.2G 6.0G 2.8G 69% /
/dev/hda1 92M 8.0M 79M 10% /boot
/dev/VolGrp/usr 15G 5.2G 9.9G 35% /usr
/dev/VolGrp/home 496M 13M 458M 3% /home
none 443M 0 443M 0% /dev/shm
/dev/VolGrp/video 126G 89G 37G 72% /video
/dev/VolGrp/videos 25G 20G 5.6G 78% /mnt/videos
/dev/VolGrp/download 20G 20G 990M 96% /mnt/download

My myth recordings are all under /video
My / and /boot are regular ext2/3 filesystems, while everything else
is in one big LVM.

No RAID.

I hope this tells you something because I am at a loss. Why can I use
mythfrontend through vnc (at least it doesn't hang I mean), but it
hangs in regular X. I know there is a lot of massaging going on with
VNC to 'emulate' a real graphics system, so that might mean it is some
interaction b/w 'real' X and mythfrontend.

Please let me know whatever else info you need.

Thanks again,
ramzy
