I'm seeing similar problems on my EPIA-M10K - when commercial skipping, or
ff'ing, I see the recording length skipping backwatds/forwards around the
correct recording length, and after a while it stops, and not much has
happened.

I tried a new recording made today - a bit longer one and looking better at
what's happening it looks like Myth is "backtracking" to find the proper
end of the recording. The recording is supposed to be an hour, but 'i'
directly at the beginning of the shows me a show length of '1560:46:36'.
Repeatedly pressing 'i' gives me an ever decreasing show length - 1:23,
1:17, etc. Looking at the log (-v playback; attached; the 14:40 is a 40 min
show, the 22:30 messages are for the 1hr show) I see:

2005-03-20 22:34:36.424 Image size. imgx 0, imgy: 0, imgw: 640, imgh: 480
2005-03-20 22:34:36.424 positionMap[ 0 ] == 38.
2005-03-20 22:34:36.583 positionMap[ 0 ] == 185274.
2005-03-20 22:34:36.758 HandleGopStart: gopset not set, syncing positionMap
2005-03-20 22:34:36.759 SyncPositionMap prerecorded, from DB: 2 entries
2005-03-20 22:34:36.759 Stream initial keyframedist: 12.
2005-03-20 22:34:36.759 positionMap[ 2 ] == 351198.
2005-03-20 22:34:37.015 positionMap[ 3 ] == 542938.
2005-03-20 22:34:37.356 positionMap[ 4 ] == 733618.

Are those two [ 0 ] ok? Looking in MySQL, I see:

15  	2005-03-20 16:15:00  	0  	NULL  	4
15 	2005-03-20 16:15:00 	0 	NULL 		-3
15 	2005-03-20 16:15:00 	0 	38 		6
15 	2005-03-20 16:15:00 	1 	185274 	6
15  	2005-03-20 16:15:00  	2  	351198  	6
15 	2005-03-20 16:15:00 	3 	542938 	6
15 	2005-03-20 16:15:00 	4 	733618 	6

Ehr? Does that look OK?

In the same log I also get numerous XvMCPutSlice "context not owning
decoder" messages.

Playback of DVD and videos is still ok, as is regular recording playback.
I'm pretty sure I did not change anything on the Xorg side, only updated to
CVS a couple of days ago.

Any ideas?

	Herman
