[mythtv] Native LIRC with mythgame problems

Hi!

I use native LIRC support of MythTV.
When I use an emulator which uses it's own LIRC input,
MythTV intercepts those buttonpresses too, and after the emulator has 
exited mythtv is no longer in the same menu it was when i started the game.

My MythTV version is 0.18.1, but I didn't see any fixes for this 
committed to the repository (correct me if I'm wrong).

Would it be possible to disable mythtv's LIRC when running an emulator 
or when MythTV is not in foreground?

Or have I just misconfigured something?
