[mythtv] Mythtv on AMD64: freezes while accessing recordings?

Hi,

I want to replace my old tvpc (Via C3 with a pvr350) with a new box because I want
not only to be able to have a vdr, but a dvd-player (and burner) in
the same machine and being able to transcode the films and see them
on the same box. The Via C3-Processor wasn't able to handle this
load properly.

My new machine is a shuttle barebone with an athlon64 (3500+), where
I have an NVidia GeForce4 as graphical output (and tv-out) and I
will soon put the PVR350 from the old machine to the new one.

Since there are Debian-Packages now for 0.16, I am using them. Or
better: I took the Sources and recompiled them with "march=k8" (and
once for testing with march=opteron). I have exported my database
from the old machine with mysqldump amd re-imported it. I rsync'ed
my recordings from the old machine to the new one. On the new
machine, I have disabled tv-out via pvr350 so everything goes to my
monitor (and soon on the TV).

My problem now is that when I scroll through my recordings in the
mythfrontend, it suddenly freezes. I can scroll maybe four or five
recordings, but then it just stops, shows one picture as preview but
that's all; I have to kill the whole mythfrontend.

unfortunately I can not see really why it is freezing. straces shows
me the following:

write(3, ";\3\5\0\25\0`\0\0\0\0\0\340\3f\2\0\1\314\0\235\6\5\0\v"..., 104) = 104
ioctl(3, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0
select(15, [3 4 6 13 14], [], [], {0, 32284}) = 1 (in [6], left {0, 33000})
read(6, "\0", 1) = 1
ioctl(3, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0
select(15, [3 4 6 13 14], [], [], {0, 32178}) = 0 (Timeout)
ioctl(6, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0
write(7, "\0", 1) = 1
futex(0x40fffa00, FUTEX_WAIT, 10016, NULL <unfinished ...>

And at that futex it stops.

Can anyone help me there? Why does it freeze? How can I fix the
problem?

Or may be the problem that there isn't (yet) the pvr350 installed?
but why then? I do not (yet) want to record from there or want to
give out the recording through it; mythtv is configured to use the
"normal" tv-out of the graphic card.

Ciao, Hanno
