 It does not look like you have an AC3 track, codec id 86016 is MPEG 2. The
 log for the track selection would have said something like "Selecting 
AC3.."
 if it was. The mplayer log you provided also indicated that you have an 
mpeg
 audio track and not AC3.

 Do you have ac3 passthrough enabled?

What happens when you press the + key?

 Have you tried using TS rather than PS recordings?

Are you sure you have an AC3 audio track?

Sounds more like you have an MPEG track and your sound card is not
configured correctly.

BTW the logging still looks broken where it says "it has -1 audio tracks..."
i'll have to look at the code to see what is up. This is a logging only
problem and should effect the behaviour seen.
