[mythtv] Scheduler behavior, why?

The scheduler isn't working how I think it should.

Friday night, a three hour block of Sci-Fi which repeats itself. Yet the
scheduler decides on this (short excerpt as the full thing is even more
embarrassing):

My problem (well ok, not really mine, I could care less about NUMB3RS not
recording but someone else does) is that the scheduler doesn't seem to be
using repeated occurrences to resolve conflicts in this case.

It could easily bump BSG or Monk to resolve the conflict, it doesn't.
