Try setting the ENABLE_DUMMY_REC define in the latest SVN to 1.

You can change the video played by sticking a new TS video in your
theme directory called dummy1920x1088a29.97.ts. See dummydtvrecorder.cpp
for instructions on how to create such a stream.
