I've updated the debian directories for 0.18. This is the most I've
ever done with debs so I'm not confident I've got it entirely right.
If someone knows more and wants to check it, I've tarred up the debian
directories for mythtv and the plugins:
http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~willu/mythtv-debdir.tgz
http://www.cse.unsw.edu.au/~willu/mythplugins-debdir.tgz
The plugins dir only handles a couple of the plugins, not all of them.
To make debian packages from these, you untar them to add a debian dir
in the mythtv and mythplugins dirs respectively. Then you
'dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot -uc -b' from each of those directories.
I haven't yet figured out how to publish the debs this creates,
although I assume that isn't too hard.
There is one major change from Matt's versions: Matt used a cron job
for mythfilldatabase. I removed that - I use mythtv's builtin ability
to call mythfilldatabase. Unfortunately, this doesn't clean up the old
cron job - you'll need to delete /etc/cron.daily/mythtv?????? yourself.
I think it'd be a good idea if this was put in a source repository
somewhere. Any chance of making another directory in the mythtv CVS
repository? We could put these debian directories in there, as well as
gentoo scripts, rpm stuff, etc. Then scripts could be kept up to date
with CVS as it evolves.
Be well,
Will :-}
