sound card? I am seeing most of these underruns with the analog capture
not the DVB. Maybe Ed was on the right track with the rate differences?

I played a DVB channel through tzap/dvstream/mplayer last night and got
the same effect so I think that eliminates myth from the equation. I
suspect this is a driver or alsa problem, or even a cheap "you get what
you pay for" sound card problem.
BTW I am using AC97 and coax SPDIF, I wanted to use optical but was too
cheap to a buy a soundcard with optical out.
