I record at 48Khz, in fact if I set the record rate to anything else
e.g. 41000 I get an error indicating that myth requested a rate of 44100
but received 48000, so I am pretty sure it is receiving and recording at
48khz.

I am using SPDIF via a coax connection to a Sony decoder (which
indicates it's receiving 48khz pcm).

I am using:

   alsa-lib-devel-1.0.6-15.rhfc2.at
   alsa-lib-1.0.6-15.rhfc2.at
   alsa-utils-1.0.6-10.rhfc2.at

which I believe is the latest?

Mark.
