The VXML theme structures the information in a way that can be played
through a text-to-speech engine and ask for DTMF prompts; so for example it
will say "Now playing The Simpsons; press 1 to record this programme".

I built it to use with Mythphone but it is a standards-based format; so for
example you could probably find a plugin for Asterisk that provides VXML
browsing, and then you could read the TV guide through Asterisk instead.  So
its not exclusively for MythPhone but that probably the only thing its
tested against.

Its actually pretty cool --- I phone up on my way home from work and it read
me the TV Guide and I select programmes to record.
