Thanks for that patch Ivor, I notice that Robert Clark has seen issues with
interlace as well and I am not yet happy with the quality when motion
is present.
Do you, or someone else, know how the DVB/interlace system should work ?
On my system in the Uk, with a DVB-T (BBC 1) source and a PAL TV as
output, MythTv
outputs frames at 25Hz to the video frame buffer. The XVMC_VLD_field_start
function seems to be called at 25Hz and does not seem to have any
interlace bits set (XVMC_TOP_FIELD, XVMC_BOTTOM_FIELD etc).

I would have expected the DVB source to contain frames at 50Hz with
alternate top and bottom fields. Does DVB just send complete frames
at 25Hz perhaps with the two interlaced fields included ?
