Here's what my system shows:

# echo $PATH
/usr/local/sbin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/lib/qt/bin
# echo $QTDIR
/usr/lib/qt
# which qmake
/usr/bin/qmake
# ls -al /usr/bin/qmake
lrwxrwxrwx  1 root root 21 Sep 21 00:42 qmake -> /usr/lib/qt/bin/qmake

I wasn't too worried about it since mythtv isn't up and running currently.
