Thanks for reminding me of this.  Nigel Pearson and I have got 
something very similar in the works for mysql.txt parameters; once I 
have that patch finished up, I'll apply what I learned there to the 
translation setting.  If I implement it they way I'm considering, it 
will take effect for both mythfrontend and setup auto-magically.
