There were more people suggesting something like this, but it does not
work. In fact it does not change anything at all. And yes, it was the right
configfile that I was editing. Putting 360x270 in there produced a nice
error and an Xserver that refused to start.

After a bit of search the cause of X not responding to DisplaySize seems
to stem from the /etc/X11/xinit/xserverrc file. This file contains:
     #!/bin/sh
     exec /usr/bin/X11/X -dpi 100 -nolisten tcp

And thus fixes the resolution to 100dpi (Bug#182191 ;-) However, if I
put in the 'real' display size, the font display gets pretty small and
the EPG turns into something unreadable. In fact everything below 100dpi
causes headaches in the EPG.

So I think I just stick with the 100dpi...

But now for the interesting question: Is there anyone out there running
Mythtv+G.A.N.T. on ivtv-fb that is getting the full dutch text on his
tv-screen....
