I cannot find what is wrong with it. I am running the Xserver on the pvr350
frame buffer. Some relevant parts of the Xserver log:

(II) IVTVDEV(0): using /dev/fb0
(II) Running in FRAMEBUFFER Mode
(**) IVTVDEV(0): Depth 24, (**) framebuffer bpp 32
(==) IVTVDEV(0): RGB weight 888
(==) IVTVDEV(0): Default visual is TrueColor
(==) IVTVDEV(0): Using gamma correction (1.0, 1.0, 1.0)
(II) IVTVDEV(0): Hardware: iTVC15 TV out (vidmem: 1665k)
(**) IVTVDEV(0): Option "fbdev" "/dev/fb0"
(II) IVTVDEV(0): Checking Modes against framebuffer device...
(II) IVTVDEV(0):        mode "720x576" ok
(II) IVTVDEV(0): Checking Modes against monitor...
(--) IVTVDEV(0): Virtual size is 720x576 (pitch 720)
(**) IVTVDEV(0):  Mode "720x576": 41.5 MHz (scaled from 0.0 MHz), 44.7 kHz, 74.5 Hz
(II) IVTVDEV(0): Modeline "720x576"   41.48  720 752 840 928  576 580 584 600 -hsync -vsync
(++) IVTVDEV(0): DPI set to (100, 100)

The server found the 100dpi font paths. And I have setup helvetica as an alias to Arial.

Well I noticed that Italian did not show very good either, but that is definitely beyond
my patching capabilities ;-)

If you have a good suggestion, I will gladly try it.

Leo.
