Doug, I tried your GLX-sync patches and didn't find quite the result I
was expecting. It compiled OK though (I have latest CVS and enabled
OpenGL sync in settings.pro).

I haven't been using A/V sync in the past. I'm running the nVIDIA 5336
drivers on a GF4 440MX card. I turned off deinterlacing, and turned on
jitter reduction and experimental A/V sync. I'm outputting to the TV
in PAL mode (and my source is PAL too).

I found that the video output was just a bit odd; it felt like the frame
rate was really low. I'm not sure quite how to describe it. glxinfo
reports that I do have the GLX sync extension.

Without jitter reduction, it had no effect, as you said would be the
case. I didn't try the jitter reduction without A/V sync.

Theoretical question; I think that since I have an interlaced source,
and an interlaced output device (analog TV), I don't need deinterlacing
and video sync (as in the experimental A/V sync feature) should be all I
need to prevent jagged edges (mice teeth). Is that correct?
