I went ahead and added a message to do the reload - figured it's nice to
be able to change the log settings without a restart, and it wasn't
hard. Upon receiving the message "REFRESH_BACKEND", the backend will
reload the log variables in MythPrivateContext related to the logging
stuff. This may be useful in other cases - code can be added to the
HandleBackendRefresh() function.
I've attached a patch again current CVS (had to update my dbcheck.cpp
patch to go to dbversion 1035).
The frontend module (mythlog) is available at:
http://borris.usask.ca/mythtv/mythlog-0.2.tar.gz
if you want to add it as a module in your CVS tree.
