I just applied to CVS a patch to remove the extra removeItem() call.
This has a side-effect of causing the new entry to appear twice on the
advanced recording options screen when you edit the recording group name
by hand, but that's easier to live with than a self-clearing field. :)

Should work ok now I believe.
