[mythtv] Ideas for high quality TV-out

Ok,

My gut feeling is that is shold not take much more CPU time than MPEG2 decoding
takes right now.

Looking at some MPEG2 FAQs is looks like MPEG2 has explicit support for representing
interlaced content.  I would think that the decoder would just have to be
modified to decode the correct line into the correct buffer.

I think this is the only thing holding MythTV back right now compared to
a CE STB solution.

I'll have to look into TVTime for clues.
