[mythtv] mediamonitor segfault with cvs

I noticed that after making some changes, my mythfrontend segfaults upon
starting now. The change I made is not within mythtv, but in the OS. I had
ide-scsi enabled in the kernel. I rebooted to make sure just the kernel change
didn't affect mythtv. Everything was fine.

So then I updated lilo and rebooted. After reboot, I changed /dev/cdrom to
point to /dev/sr0 instead of hdc. I updated /dev/dvd likewise. I also made
sure all users/groups had access to /dev/sr0 (chmod 666)

The thing I don't understand, is now mythfrontend dies off. Here is the last
few lines of the strace:

write(1, "2004-06-08 00:00:29 Mediamonitor"..., 522004-06-08 00:00:29
Mediamonitor: Adding /dev/cdrom
) = 52
open("/dev/cdrom", O_RDONLY|O_NONBLOCK|O_EXCL|O_LARGEFILE) = 14
--- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) ---
+++ killed by SIGSEGV +++

Any ideas?
