[mythtv] via hardware decoding

Yes, the link in the earlier post contained a backtrace that looked 
consistent with my problem. I haven't had any sucess trying to produce 
one myself so far, it hangs in a different way when I use it through gdb 
:-( I'll try some more, but I thought I'd bring to your attention the 
earlier bt.

I will apply the [patch] viaslice: init & guide fixes too just incase 
that shows me I have made a mistake.
