Good to know I'm not the onlyone seeing this.
Maybe it has something to do with 720x576 being a 5:4 ratio instead of 4:3,
maybe there is some asumtions that expects the resolution to have a 4:3
ratio

Hmm...
I just tried to switch to 720x576 and I think I found something.
If I play mpeg4 encoded recordings everything is fine, but if I play
something that was recorded from the dvb card, parts of the recording is
outside the tv screen.
So it seems like this is related to the mpeg2 acceleration.

I use mythtv 0.15.1 if that makes any difference.
