[mythtv] mythtranscode request

Could someone who knows how add an output parameter to mythtranscode to 
make it provide a running total of the number of minutes it is 
transcoding (maybe against the total length of the show)?  (ie. show 
progress)  I can pull some of this information from the various 
encoders, but they (esp. mpeg2enc) don't always have a way to get at 
that info.

I'm looking at ways to better integrate nuvexport, and it would look a 
lot nicer if encoding processes could show how far along it is.  I can 
then put this into the database so it can be accessed via mythweb, etc.

On this note, if mythtranscode isn't going to get the ability to export 
to other formats, perhaps it's time we think about ways to integrate 
nuvexport into mythtv proper?
