You do realize of course that "a way to switch quickly between watch and
manage" could basically be construed as secondary option screen?

What I mean is that there hardly is a difference between a Watch screen
with two different menus (either using 2 different buttons or an
"Advanced Options" item) or 2 different (but very similar) screens each
with its own menu.

You could even argue that from a usability standpoint the second options
is worse because a) there's overlap in functionality, b) it's more
difficult to manage (you have to switch somehow), c) its harder to
explain/not logical (the screens are similar but the order of the items
is reversed for example).

I know that Isaac was against the "Advanced Options" scenario, but did
he give any specific reasons why he thought that doing it that way
wasn't a good idea? Because the more I think about it the more I prefer
that idea over the currently suggested solution.

How had you imagined "The Switch" yourself? An option in the menu? Or a
button?

Cheers,
