Stephen D,

Correct me if I'm wrong.....

The concern of sports fans such as yourself is the games can possibly
run overtime, and the EPG does not generally account for overtime. That
and the instant replay feature in myth.... Am I correct?

If so, I'd agree with David Engle. Record it thru the guide, but set a
large post roll time so you wont miss overtime. And watch it in near
time as it is being recorded. All the pros and cons David Engle
mentions would still hold.

And I haven't checked lately, but you can still schedule a "manual"
recording, which would be another possibility......

I don't watch sports via myth myself since the motion compensation in HW
is still too poor anyway..... So given the alternatives I still don't
see a compelling case for leaving a card free for live tv.

Later,
Mark

Schedule it to be recorded through the guide, then watch it very near
live as it is being recorded.
