Yes, I had mentioned that kind of thing in my original post. It wouldn't
have to be done straight away, but storing it like the recording profiles
in the database with a set of attributes for each (like what type it is,
this is an "mplayer" so we have aspect attributes etc..)..

I don't believe it would be that hard, but it would be good to know if
there's a a generic version of the class which handles the SQL for the
recording profiles that can be applied to an arbitrary table, rather than
duplicating it, and what the appopriate widget would be for selecting and
add/remove profiles. (Removing should probably set it all to the 'default'
profile..)
