Between i686 and pentiumpro, I understand there is little or no
difference, probably an alias.  However I think there is some
slight help to use "-march=pentium4" which may reorder some
instructions slightly better.  Probably get a lot better 
description at the gcc website.

That's what I've understood anyway.
