[mythtv] Auto shutdown

I've been playing with the auto shutdown stuff in Myth - it seems that it 
isn't useful on a system with both the frontend and backend on the same 
machine since the backend won't shut down while there is a frontend 
connected.  Would it not be better for the frontend to tell the backend 
when it's idle so the backend and shut the system down? (maybe the 
frontend could even disconnect itself from the backend after it's been 
idle for a while and then reconnect on demand?)

Or am I missing something?
