this issue has been reported a number of times, it started for me on the CVS
as of Saturday.  As of Sunday, however, that CVS was updated... I personally
no longer experience the seg fault *every* time I play a recording.
However, I have had a few.  Particularly, I can hit the "fast forward"
button right after selecting a recording and get a seg fault every time.  I
had a few very random seg faults, but were all related to when I was doing
some sort of input (fast fowarding, AFAIK).

I'm going to update to the latest CVS and see if that fixes it.
