I'm not sure what you mean by "where it died".  I have observed the crash 
he described (and posted the backtrack for).  It seems to happen with 
quite high frequency  shortly after starting recording (sometimes 
immediately, sometimes up to a couple of minutes after starting the 
recordings).  I haven't seen it crash right in the middle of a recording, 
only withing the first few minutes or seconds.  I've logged 11 such 
crashes today.

Infact this morning I was completely unable to start live TV - I tried 
about 10 times and got a segmentation fault in the backend each time 
(although I don't know if this is actually the same bug - I didn't have 
time to do any debugging since I needed to get to work).
