I believe someone is working on an auto-pid system, try viewing the
archives for around ~3-5 days ago.

cardinput table, startchan.. I believe someone has also done a patch for
this so it will display a dialog on an untunable/errored channel but has
not submitted it yet.

I use the Windows version of the MySQL control center, there are also
Linux versions available, see http://www.mysql.com/downloads/mysqlcc.html

A mouse patch was submitted a few days ago so you can choose to have the
cursor visible.
