Looking at this more (was going to apply it), I think you've reintroduced a 
couple memory leaks that I had fixed in the goom stuff, and there seems to be 
some changes in the various vis modes (defined at the top of goom_core)?  
Could you check that out, please?

Also, it looks like there's some unnecessary changes to the synaesthesia 
plugin - mind removing them?
