[mythtv] no database connection after upgrading qt?

after upgrading qt to version 3.2.1 (with mysql
compiled in), i get an error, that mythfrontend is not
able to connect to the database...

mysql is there:

[root at iphigenie pts/3] ls /usr/qt/3/plugins/sqldrivers/
libqsqlmysql.so

qt has his path:

[root at iphigenie pts/3] export | grep QTDIR
declare -x QTDIR="/usr/qt/3"

and here's the result:

[paessler at iphigenie pts/3] mythfrontend
QSqlDatabase warning: QMYSQL3 driver not loaded
QSqlDatabase: available drivers:
QSqlDatabase warning: QMYSQL3 driver not loaded
QSqlDatabase: available drivers:
Unable to connect to database!
No error type from QSqlError?  Strange...
couldn't open db


mythfrontend was fine before...
i recompiled qt, mythtv (complete) and mysql several times, no luck...
any ideas?
