[mythtv] Fwd: [PATCH] Add profile groups

Okay, I've finally fixed the segfault I was getting with the profiles
originally. I have tested this patch a bit, but haven't really
exercised the backend or transcoder thoroughly (there was stuff on this
eveing that I really wanted recorded, so my testing hasn't been very
through). Still, the changes to the backend are pretty minimal, and
everything worked okay for me in what testing I've done so far. The
transcoder is another matter though. The interface has changed again,
and will cause problems for anyone using it stanalone....So without
further adieu, lets get on with the show:

Possible problems with the patch:
I don't have an MJPEG card, so I have no idea if it will work correctly.
Ditto for DVB cards
There are no controls for the PVR250 profile yet, but there is supposedly
a patch floating around to deal with that.
When using the transcoder on the command-line, profiles are now specified
as either '-p autodetect', or '-p #' where # is the profile id from
'recordingprofiles'.
This patch will delete all profiles, so you'll need to reset before
recordings will work properly.

Anyhow, Isaac, you should probably wait until other brave souls give it
some testing, or whatever. I'm especially interested in what happens
with MJPEG and DVB cards.
