[mythtv] Re:Channel change speed

Takes me about 5-6 seconds for a channel change.  I've got a DirecTV unit with one
of the serial change scripts.  I'm going to take a look at that sometime this
weekend to see if I can speed that part of it up at least, since you guys have made
some good suggestions in this thread already.

Anyway, here's my file system/stats.  DMA is turned on for both drives.


/dev/hda1 / reiserfs notail 1 1
/dev/hda1:
 Timing buffered disk reads:  64 MB in  1.13 seconds = 56.64 MB/sec


/dev/hdb6 /home reiserfs notail 1 2
/dev/hdb1:
 Timing buffered disk reads:  64 MB in  1.17 seconds = 54.70 MB/sec
