Strange, I'm using mpeg4 on my files and it works fine.
What mpeg4 codec do you use? Ffdshow?
Most (all?) mediaplayer apps can show the video codec somewere.

Another thing to remember is that mythtv can deinterlace but the filters I
have done can't, so depending on the resolution you have choosen you might
get some deinterlace artifacts (most visibel when there is lots of
movements)

I've noticed this too. Some recordings it looks good, a little
fuzy/grainy other recordings it looks scrambled. All recorded with MPEG4

I have installed the filters on winxp and the picture is
horrible. The
audio sounds great, but the picture looks like it is
scrambled. Do the
filters work with myth11 or do I need CVS?

			RTjpeg

The installer don't associate .nuv with any

			since I don't know

what player you want to use, but that
shoudn't prevent you

The installer only adds the nessesary

About the file associations, there is a
minor problem on

			winme that makes

the propertypage disapear if you change the
file association.

Wich version of windows are you using?

			Windows 98 SE

Could it be a problem if I installed the base
components but
			not the Explorer
shell extension? I uninstalled after my first
install,
			because it seemed
like the shell extension was causing Explorer to
crash. If I
			get the DS
filter working, I'll try re-installing the Explorer
shell
			extension to verify
if that is indeed the case.

The filters will work just fine without the shell
extensions.
I woudn't be surprised if win98 did something different than
winme that
breaks the filter, I'll see if I can do some debuging on a
win98 computer.

I have seen the explorer crashing on win9x/me too (works
fine on winxp). I
did find one problem that can cause explorer to crash, but
there migt be
		more.

I'm developing the filter and shell extensions on a winxp
computer so that’s
why there might be problems with win9x/me, but I'll try to
make it work on
		win9x/me too.
