Nice one!  You were spot on that the problem was not passing in params.  I
have not tested this patch yet, but it does work ok if I add params.

What should I be using for mpeg streams like from a DVB card? (and
presumably also HDTV cards?).  Is kerneldeint=12:0 "optimal" or should I be
using 1 for the second param...?
