I would suggest changing the kernel to a supported via kernel, getting
the epia-m graphics to work first. Then move on to any trouble that
arises from compiling dvb support on that kernel. To my experience the
dvb driver is very compatible with linux kernels in all. If it fails to
compile for you, try searching for the errors it'll give on either
linuxtv.org mailinglist archive or google, and i'll bet you'll find a
solution to your problem.
