That's no different than anywhere else. Every city, and even different
cable companies in the same city have different shows on different channels.

What about having the numeric channels show up first (in a list)
followed by the channels with alpha characters? You could still use
channel+ channel- keys to scroll to them, and unless your remote is a
keyboard you couldn't quickly navigate to E2 anyways (even if your
remote was a keyboard this shortcut would bring up the EPG or some other
myth shortcut rather than going to the E2 channel).
