Well, looks like I was more than a little premature in sending out 0.5
to the world earlier this week. Problem was, I thought I was going to
take a whole lot longer than I did to get the interactive mode working.
Curses is much easier than I thought it was going to be, at least under
Perl.
So, without further ado, allow me to announce version 0.7 of
mythmkmovie. Available at http://www.icelus.org/mythmkmovie-0.7.tar.bz2
Now, for any newcomers on the list, let me tell you what MythMkMovie
does: It makes it possible to easily convert your mythtv .nuv files into
divx .avi files. Furthermore, it honors your cutlists, so you can chop
out commercials.
New features from 0.5:
* Some bugfixes
* New UI mode which lets you handle the recordings more easily
* An actual installer (written using Makefile.PL)
* An actual man page (no more do you have to read the script to figure
out what you need to do!)
* Better integration with the MythTV database
At this time, I'm calling the perl portion of the code done (unless
people send in bug reports). My next step will be to write some C++ code
to convert MythTV .NUV files into standard .NUV files. This is due to
the one issue I have remaining: mencoder still chokes on some files
produced by MythTV 0.8. I believe if I could just turn them into
standard .NUV files, I could make mencoder happy, and that would make me
happy.
So, if you find any bugs, let me know, and I'll fix them. For now,
though, it's probably a month or so before I get the C++ code into a
working state.
