Configurable keybindings (was: RE: [mythtv] remote key binding problem)

Whatever happened to the work on configurable keybindings?  Has this been
dropped?  I would like to work on it, as I think I have some cool ideas on
how to implement it, but my time is limited at the moment.  If anyone is
interested in getting this planned feature going again, maybe we can
brainstorm.
