[mythtv] MythTV on HDTVs? (Xfree Modelines)

I am, but I'm just using the standard 640x480 because I coulnd't find
any info on HD modelines as you mentioned. I'm only using S-video out
from my Myth box anyways, so I guess I'd have to get a vga->component
converter or something since my HDTV doesn't have VGA in.

That would be nice to have the Myth GUI in 1920x1080, though, wouldn't
it? ;-) It's not so much the increased resolution that I want, however.
I would just like to have it in 16:9 ratio. Since the S-video out is
only doing NTSC, would it be possible to do what anamorphic DVDs do and
make X think it's running at 853x480, then squeeze it down to 640x480 to
send out the TV-out, to then have your HDTV stretch it out again to the
proper ratio? Just a thought.

Let me know what you find.
