I'm so sick of RedHat.  I have RH8, and had the same problem -- Perl::Curses
wouldn't compile.  I think I even tried a patch that was suggested, but I
can't remember if it worked.  I eventually installed an RPM from Conectiva
Linux (search rpmfind.net).  Ugh.  I'm switching to Gentoo as soon as I can
free up a partition.
