I know, the subject line looks more than a little unusual for the list,
but it actually has a valid idea in it. Something I've just started
pondering, in fact.

Are there any laptops which would support all of the functionality
needed for MythTV to work out of the box? Things which I know would be
needed:
1) Networking support (okay, this can be a pcmcia card, but we can only
do a few of them, at most, so want to limit this)
2) TV In. And, more importantly, /dev/video support on Linux for said TV in.
3) Ideally, TV out (either as composite or s-video)
4) Easily accessable (and lirc compatible) ir port
5) nice sized HD, speedy CPU, etc

I'm asking this because the one thing my setup truly lacks is a pretty
way of integrating with the tv/entertainment system. I'd like to make
the mythtv box into a standalone machine capable of being hidden in an
entertainment center very easily. Now, each of the components listed
above could be made external. Ideally, though, they'd be internal.

The one thing I could see going to PCMCIA for, though, is a wireless
NIC. That would let me reduce my wires coming from the laptop down to 3
(power, tv in, tv out), which is no more than a vcr would require.

So, does anybody know of such a beast? I'd gladly set up a bootable
CD-ROM for such a box, to allow anybody to plug it in and use it.
