[mythtv] Old Mythvideo application, help needed

I've been thinking that what mythvideo needs next is a method for
specifying a different player for any given file (and the ability to
hand-edit the video information if desired.)  It could be done as simply
as providing a keybinding for the screens to bring up the text boxes for
editing... Leaving the helper app blank would make it use the default.
That way I could once again do something I did with the old mythvideo,
and create an empty file called PlayVCD.vcd (or something), and when it
was selected, have mythvideo launch mplayer to play whatever is in the
cdrom drive as a VCD.

On the other hand, if all that is already done and I'm just not bright
enough to know it, I'm happy to be proved wrong :-)
